1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how ShiftWorth ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our iOS mobile application. ShiftWorth was designed from the ground up with privacy as a core architectural principle — the app operates entirely on your device with no network connectivity requirements.

By downloading and using ShiftWorth, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

ShiftWorth does not collect, process, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identifiers — name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or any other contact information
• Financial information — pay rates, salary, hourly wages, shift earnings, tax withholdings, or any other compensation data you enter into the app
• Employment information — employer name, hospital, department, job title, or work schedule
• Device identifiers — IDFA, IDFV, device serial number, or any unique device identifiers
• Location data — GPS coordinates, IP address, or any location-related information
• Usage analytics — app usage patterns, feature engagement, session duration, or behavioral data
• Biometric data — fingerprints, face data, or any biometric identifiers
• Health data — despite serving healthcare professionals, the app does not collect any health-related information

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All data you enter into ShiftWorth (including pay rates, shift details, differential settings, calculation history, and paycheck verification records) is stored exclusively in local on-device storage using Apple's standard data persistence frameworks (SwiftData/UserDefaults).

This means:

• Your data exists only on your physical device
• Your data is protected by your device's passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID
• Your data is included in your encrypted iCloud or local device backups (if you have backups enabled)
• We have no ability to access, view, retrieve, or recover your data under any circumstances
• No data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Apple App Store & StoreKit

ShiftWorth uses Apple's StoreKit framework to process in-app purchases for the Pro upgrade. When you make a purchase:

• The transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store
• We receive a transaction receipt confirming your purchase, but this does not contain your personal information
• We do not have access to your Apple ID, payment method, billing address, or any financial details
• Apple's handling of your purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy

4.2 No Analytics or Tracking SDKs

ShiftWorth does not integrate any third-party analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash reporting frameworks. There are zero third-party SDKs in the app that collect data of any kind. Specifically, we do not use:

• Google Analytics, Firebase, or any Google services
• Facebook/Meta SDK or any social media tracking
• Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, or any analytics platforms
• Crashlytics, Sentry, Bugsnag, or any crash reporting tools
• AdMob, AppLovin, Unity Ads, or any advertising networks

4.3 No Network Requests

The app makes no network requests whatsoever during normal operation. The only network activity occurs when StoreKit communicates with the App Store to process a purchase or restore purchases — this is handled by the operating system, not by our code.

5. Home Screen Widgets

ShiftWorth offers optional home screen widgets that display your projected daily earnings and payday countdown. Widget data is shared between the main app and the widget extension using a shared App Group container on your device. This data never leaves your device.

6. Data Sharing

ShiftWorth includes a "Share" feature that lets you generate summary cards or PDF exports of your shift calculations. When you use this feature:

• You control what is shared and with whom via iOS's standard share sheet
• The shared content is generated locally on your device
• We do not have visibility into what you share or with whom
• Once shared, the content is subject to the privacy policies of the receiving app or service

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Deletion: You can delete all ShiftWorth data at any time by deleting the app from your device. When the app is deleted, all associated data is permanently removed.
• Within the app: You can clear your shift history and reset your settings at any time from within the app's Settings screen.
• No residual data: Because no data is ever transmitted to external servers, there is no data to request deletion of from our systems — we simply don't have any.

8. Children's Privacy

ShiftWorth is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. The app is designed for use by working registered nurses and healthcare professionals. If you believe a child under 13 has somehow provided information through the app, please contact us, although given the app's offline nature, no such data would reach us.

9. International Users

ShiftWorth is designed primarily for U.S.-based registered nurses and uses U.S. federal (FLSA) and state labor law calculations. The app may be downloaded internationally, but all data remains on your device regardless of your location. Because we do not collect or process any personal data, GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations' data handling requirements are inherently satisfied.

10. Security

Your data benefits from the security measures built into iOS, including:

• Hardware-level encryption on all modern iOS devices
• App sandboxing preventing other apps from accessing ShiftWorth's data
• Device-level authentication (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• Encrypted backups via iCloud or Finder/iTunes

Because ShiftWorth has no server infrastructure, there is no risk of server-side data breaches, unauthorized access, or data leaks from our end.

11. Apple App Privacy Labels

In accordance with Apple's App Store requirements, ShiftWorth's privacy nutrition label declares: "Data Not Collected." We do not collect any data linked to your identity or otherwise.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable laws. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, when possible, provide notice through an app update.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of ShiftWorth after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
